First I would like to say, “Thank you to all of those brave men and women that are serving and have served to protect our country. God bless you and be with you always.
Here is a recap of what our family did for the Fourth of July:
The children and I memorized the “Pledge of Allegiance”, by Francis Bellamy.
We revisited some books we read and sing:
“The Pledge of Allegiance” by Scholastic, that has beautiful pictures of our country and the other is
“The Star-Spangled Banner” by: Francis Scott Key, then we sing it out loud.
We also sing, “America the Beautiful” by Katharine Lee Bates. Then I read the book,
“America the Beautiful” by Scholastic”.
This has become our tradition, so we can always remember the heritage of our country.
We also made red, white, and blue tie die t-shirts. But unfortunately only 2 out of 5 came out. I was so sad. But my children still liked how they came out. Which, I am so so glad they liked them. I told them that sometimes things don’t always come out how you plan them.
Then our Family got to see fireworks the night before the fourth, with Grandma and Grandpa.
Then on the day of the Fourth we went to one of my good friends home and had a blast at the family block party in their neighborhood. The kids were so excited because they made bracelets to sell, and had been preparing for a month. They just loved it!
Everyone absolutely enjoyed their time together.
In His Love,
