As summer has come to a close and another school year is beginning, I wanted to share about some of the fun things that we enjoyed doing this summer.
First we kicked off the summer celebrating my little “pajarito’s” birthday at the park. We enjoyed lot’s of yummy food and fun!
Next we had the opportunity to go and see the symphony. It was amazing!! It was the first time that we had ever been there, and it was an absolute blast. We also had fun water color painting. The kids got really creative in their art work.
We also got a couple of baby chickens in June. In hopes that when they grow up, they will provide us with some eggs. The kids named them, “fluffy, and happy”. They are so cute. Sadly, one of them turned out to be a male chicken. He started to crow weeks ago. And we cannot keep roosters where I live. So we will have to find him a new home soon, and a new companion for my hen. Which, is so sad because they have grown up together. We just love having them. My dad built an amazing coop for them. Just the right size. These chicks lived in the house with us for 4 weeks. Talk about some spoiled chickens. Lol
The beach was also very popular destination this summer. We have gone several times and so far it was our favorite place to go this summer. Especially, since my little “sherif ” just learned how to boogie board. My little “pajarito, my “caballero”, and my little monita” just love to run, and splash in the waves at the shoreline. We also got to explore the tide pools. We saw crabs, hermit crabs, fish, and sea anemones.
Here are a couple of other activities that we did as well.
1. Read Read Read
2. Visited our Local Farmer’s Market
3. Went on Nature Walks at the local, parks.
4. Water Balloon Fight
We had a very nice fun filled summer.
I hope you had a wonderful summer too.
I’d love to hear about some of the fun activities you and your family did, please share away!
Until next time.
In His Love,
