Bible Writing through the Word

Writing Through The Word: The Book of Galatians

Hello Everyone!!

Fall and October are here!! The year is flying by!! Writing through the word has been such a blessing.  It’s been good spending time in the word.  Reading and writing the word and hiding it in our hearts has so many benefits.  You just never know what life is going to throw at you.  And it is so good to have the word in your heart and mind to get through the challenges that we face everyday.

You are all one in Christ Jesus.  Galations 3:28

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.  Galations 2:20

I would love to hear how you have been doing in spending time in the word.  Believe me, I know it can be hard to keep up. I have four children under 10yrs. and it can get super crazy!!  But I know that He is my strength and my hope and how I get through my days.  Without Him I don’t know how I would do it.  Trust me I have fallen behind many times or not kept up.  So I keep going where I left off.  So just don’t stop if you missed a day or so or even a week. Just pick up where you left off.  It’s okay.  The main reason for doing this is to spend time continually getting to know our Father in heaven everyday.  I wanted to share some advice that I have learned over the years on how to keep up spending time in the word.

I hope they will be an encouragement to you and help you to keep your daily quiet time with the Lord.

  1. Gather your bible study materials, pens, bible, journal, ect., and put them in a cute basket or cute tote bag.
  2. Find a quiet place in your home, that you can go to daily, and make it a cozy cute little nook.
  3. Set a time everyday for your special time with the Lord, or a reminder on your phone or write it on your calendar as a daily appointment.
  4. Light a candle or play some worship music, get a cup of hot tea, cocoa, or coffee.
  5. Pray for your time with the Lord.

I know that all of this sounds impossible to do.  But they are just ways to encourage your quiet time.  The Lord shows each of us how we can spend our time with Him.  He honors that.  Especially when you have small children this can seem so difficult.  I have had to do it during their nap time or after they go to bed at night.  Lot’s of people recommend the early morning.  Even from way back when.  I think it is a wonderful way to start your day.  It has been challenging to me since, I am a night person.  Although in the past year I have really been trying to go to bed early and wake up early.  Nothing is set in stone on how or when you should have your quiet time.  Just go with the flow of your daily routine.  Again these are just some ideas to encourage you.

Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.  Galations 6:9

Again I really hope that these were encouraging to you.  If you already have a way of how you spend time with the Lord I would love to hear all about it.  Or any other suggestions that you have on how you spend time in the word.  Please comment below.  I can’t wait to hear all about them.  I am all ears.

May you be blessed and be strong in the Lord as you spend time with Him writing out His word this month in the book of Galatians.

In His Love,
